Why We’re Hosting These Classes

After the destruction, stress, and trauma, caused by the Eaton Fire, we wanted to create an event for our community in Altadena and Pasadena to come together, destress, and heal. These free yoga classes are designed to help you move, breathe, and let go of tension while meeting and supporting our neighbors in a welcoming environment.

Whether you’re looking to unwind with gentle stretches or boost your energy through dynamic movement, these classes are open to everyone.

Seriously, no experience is necessary – just come as you are.

Our local instructors have graciously volunteered their time to lead you with some of the best yoga classes that Pasadena has to offer!

Who We Are

We’re Elevated Physical Therapy in Old Town Pasadena, created by Altadena residents Josh and Maddie. We started Elevated in 2020 with a simple goal: Deliver real, hands-on healthcare that's uniquely personal with an experience unlike anything else around.

As both residents and neighbors, we believe that wellness is more than just physical health—it’s about connection, support, and finding balance in everyday life. We wanted everyone in our community that has been both directly and indirectly affected by the recent fires to have a time and place to get some much needed mental and physical wellness.

But Who Is This Event For?

This event is for our community members in Altadena and Pasadena looking to...

Destress, relax, and release tension after our world being turned upside down

Move our bodies in a supportive, judgment-free environment

Reconnect with OUR neighbors and find peace through shared experiences

Popular Questions

We know you might have some questions – and that's ok! As we've been putting this event together, we had a few questions come up from folks, so we figured we would answer the most common ones here.

I've never taken a yoga class before... are you sure I can do this?

Even if you've never taken a class before, you've got nothing to worry about! This isn't a competition – it's a space to destress, decompress, and get some much needed healthy movement in. Your instructors will lead you through every move and you are free to modify each to your own personal comfort.

(And hey, you might even find out you really like it! Here's to new hobbies and activities in 2025)

Will you have yoga mats?

Good question! We will have some mats available, but if you have your own, it would be best to bring it. If you don't have one (or if you had one before January...) and you would like to get your own, just about any reasonably priced mat on Amazon will do.

What should I bring?

Bring your yoga mat, your mat towel, your water bottle, a towel, and an open mind!

We will have some yoga mats available to use as well as bottled water and towels, but certainly recommend bringing your own if you have them. If you don't have a mat towel, a bath towel works as a decent substitute!

What can I expect?

Each class is about 60 minutes long and will be expertly guided by your instructor throughout. You'll perform a number of yoga-inspired movements that you are free to modify if needed.

Can I take both classes? Or am I limited to taking only one?

Who are we to deny you?! If you'd like to take both classes (perhaps sculpt as your workout and Yin as your cool down) you are welcome to sign up for both. We just ask that you secure a ticket for each so we know you're attending and so we don't overbook each class.
